2007-Present Art Teacher 

Academy School: Brattleboro, VT 

  • Created a vibrant and accelerated art program that focuses on the creative process which cultivates students talents while deepening their knowledge and understanding of art design and history.

  • Designed school and community art installations that made the school environment more personalized.

  • Provided exceptional classroom management through set boundaries by creating a focused, guided, and safe environment emphasizing student accountability.

  • Created many hallmarks at Academy School, such as designing and maintaining the website, and created dozens of posters, and school murals.  

  • Current chair of the Social Committee.

2003-2005 Art Teacher 

Lomax Elementary School: Valdosta, GA 

 

  • Confidently managed classes that were both inclusive and large (25-40 students).  

  • Implemented rotating art displays throughout the school. 

  • Collaborated with all grade levels for student productions. 

 

2000-2003 Art Teacher 

Euchee Creek Elementary School: Grovetown, GA 

  •  Designed and implemented engaging multidisciplinary lesson plans. 

  •  Established learning environments that utilized multiple techniques and cooperative learning strategies to meet the intellectual, social, and creative needs of students. 

  •  Developed an annual Art Night Celebration. 

1997-1999 Art Teacher 

Burke County Middle School: Waynesboro, GA 

  •  Established a successful discipline-based art curriculum for grades 6-8 that taught studio art, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and multi-media.  

  • Created an outreach program to the community that showcased student artwork throughout local businesses, libraries, and museums. 

  • Selected as the County Art Coordinator for the National Faculty and the Morris  Museum of Art to assist and educate the county’s educators on museum resources.
